Custom Sheer Curtains,
Made for Toronto Light
Sheer curtains are how a room is given light without losing its privacy — a soft, diffused glow that makes a space feel airy and calm.
The soft layer that does the quiet work
Each panel is made to measure for your windows and finished by hand, so the drape falls clean and the light is shaped, not blocked. On their own, or layered over roller and zebra blinds, our sheers tame glare on screens and floors, add privacy by day, and give a room that airy, finished feeling.
Diffused daylight
Turn flat, harsh sun into a soft luminous wash across the room.
Daytime privacy
See out, while passers-by can't easily see in during daylight hours.
Layer & pair
Wear beautifully over blinds, shades, or heavier drapes for true versatility.
Designer fabrics
Linen, voile, and textured weaves from a library of thousands of bolts.
What sheers bring to your home
01Glare & UV softening
Sheer fabric cuts screen glare and the worst of the afternoon sun, helping protect floors, art, and furnishings from fading — without darkening the room.
02Architectural calm
Floor-to-ceiling sheers draw the eye up and make ceilings feel taller — the quiet, gallery-like loft feeling that defines a considered space.
03Effortless everyday use
Pair sheers with our smart motorization to glide them open at sunrise and closed at dusk — hands-free, cord-free, child-safe.
Choose the drape, the fabric, the fall
Every panel is custom-measured and sewn to your exact window — nothing off the shelf, nothing forced to fit.
Ripplefold Sheers Most popular
A clean, continuous S-wave that reads modern and architectural. Ideal for wide spans of glass and condo living rooms where you want uninterrupted softness.
Linen & Voile Panels
Natural-fibre weaves that catch the light beautifully. Linen brings texture and weight; voile stays barely-there and luminous for a true airy feel.
Layered Drapery Day + night
Sheers up front for daytime light, an opaque or blackout drape behind for evening privacy and warmth. One track, two completely different rooms.
Floor-to-Ceiling & Specialty Tall windows
Stairwells, double-height great rooms, and feature windows are our specialty. We engineer sheers that hang true and pool cleanly, even on the tallest spans.
Find your white — and your weave
Sheers are never just "white." The right tone and texture shift completely with your wall colour and your light. Here's a starting point from our most-loved sheer fabrics; we bring full-size samples to your home so you can see them in your own rooms.

We carry even more colours and finishes in our showroom — you're welcome to contact us to see the full range.
Quiet luxury, precisely fitted
Measured in millimetres
Sheers are unforgiving — a hem that's a centimetre off shows. Our installers laser-measure every window and our workroom sews each panel to match, so the fabric breaks cleanly at the floor and the fullness falls evenly across the rod.
Fabric, in your own light
The same sheer reads differently in a north-facing bedroom than a sun-flooded west living room. We bring the full studio of fabrics to your home so you can see exactly how each weave filters your light before you decide.
Designed to layer
Sheers rarely work alone. We plan them alongside your existing custom drapes and curtains, blinds, or shutters so the whole window reads as one intentional composition.
Sheer curtains & drapery, answered
Do sheer curtains provide privacy?
During the day, yes — sheers let you see out while making it difficult for anyone outside to see in clearly. After dark, once your interior lights are on, that balance reverses and sheers become more see-through. For bedrooms and street-facing rooms, we usually pair sheers with a blackout or opaque drape on the same track, so you keep the airy daytime look and full privacy at night.
Can sheer drapery be motorized?
Yes. Sheers are one of the nicest treatments to automate — a whisper-quiet motor glides them open at sunrise and closed at dusk on a remote, the app, or a voice command. They run on the same smart-home motorization system as the rest of your Starlight window treatments.
What types of sheer fabric are available?
Our sheer library runs from crisp bright-white voiles to warm ivory and natural linens, plus heavier slubbed and textured weaves with more body. Tone matters as much as texture — the right white shifts completely with your wall colour and light — so we bring full-size samples to your home to see them in your own rooms.
How do I clean sheer curtains?
Most of the time a gentle vacuum with a brush attachment or a light steam on the lowest setting keeps them fresh while they hang. For a deeper clean, many sheers can be cold gentle-washed or dry-cleaned depending on the fabric — we'll note the exact care for your chosen fabric at installation.
Do sheers help with temperature control?
On their own, sheers mainly soften light and block UV, which reduces heat gain from direct sun and helps protect floors and furniture from fading. For real insulation against Toronto winters, we pair them with a lined or blackout drape behind — the sheer handles the daytime look, the heavier layer handles warmth and night-time privacy.
Can I layer sheers with blinds or blackout drapes?
Absolutely — layering is where sheers shine. They sit beautifully over roller or zebra blinds, or in front of a blackout drape on a double track, giving you the soft daytime glow plus full light control whenever you want it.
Do you make sheers for floor-to-ceiling and specialty windows?
This is a specialty of ours. Stairwells, double-height great rooms, and oversized feature windows are custom-measured and manufactured so the panels hang true and break cleanly, even on the tallest spans common in newer GTA homes.
How long does it take, and where do you install?
Most custom sheer orders take about 2–3 weeks from your free in-home consultation to installation. We serve Toronto and across the GTA — Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham, and Mississauga — with showrooms in Scarborough and Mississauga.
