Floor-to-ceiling custom window drapery designed for a Toronto home
Our specialty

Custom window drapery, designed in Toronto

Drapery is where we started, and it’s still what we love most. As local drapery designers, we help you choose fabric, fullness and hardware that suit your light, your ceilings and the way you live — then we measure, make and hang every panel ourselves.

  • A curated fabric library — sheers, linens, blackout and textured weaves
  • Custom-cut for floor-to-ceiling glass, bay windows and non-standard sizes
  • Designer guidance in your home, with samples in your own light
  • Made and installed by our own team — never outsourced

Got questions?

Everything You Need to Know.

From what it costs to which treatment suits which room — here's what homeowners across Toronto and the GTA ask us most.

Book a free consultation →

Yes. A design consultant comes to your home with fabric samples and hardware options, laser-measures every window, and talks through what suits your light and your rooms. There's no charge and no obligation to order. We've been making window treatments in Toronto for over 10 years, with showrooms in Scarborough and Mississauga. Book a visit whenever it suits you.

We handle all three steps ourselves: laser-measuring at the free consultation, manufacturing in our own workroom, and installation by our own team. Nothing gets handed to a subcontractor. We don't install window treatments bought elsewhere, because we can only stand behind a fit we measured and made. You can read through how the whole process works.

Most orders are ready in about 2–3 weeks from the day you approve the quote. Custom drapery in specialty fabrics, or anything motorized, can run 3–4 weeks. We give you a firm date at the consultation and tell you early if anything shifts.

Moving into a new build? Our guide on what to do first in a pre-construction condo covers the timing.

Yes. Our team serves customers in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English — at both showrooms and at your in-home consultation. Call (416) 346-7989 and ask for whichever you prefer.

Pricing depends on the size of the opening, the louvre width, the material — vinyl, PVC, or wood — and how many windows are in the order. Because we manufacture in our own workroom and sell factory-direct, there's no showroom markup sitting between you and the price.

We quote per window at the free in-home consultation and put it in writing, so the number you get is the number you pay. Every set is backed by 25 years on panels and louvres and a lifetime warranty on hardware and installation. See our California shutters or request a quote.

Cost comes down to the product, the size of each window, the fabric or material, and whether the treatment is motorized. Motorization adds a per-window cost that varies with the motor — battery motors install without any wiring, while hard-wired motors suit new builds and renovations.

We price every window individually at the free consultation and give you the full quote in writing before anything is made. Browse blinds & shades or motorized options first if you'd like a sense of the range.

Ready-made and big-box blinds come in fixed sizes, so on a non-standard window they either sit short, sit wide, or let light through the gaps. Custom treatments are cut to your opening, use fuller fabric and proper lining, and hang on hardware sized for the window.

The other difference is what happens afterwards. Our hardware and installation carry a lifetime warranty, and shutter panels and louvres are covered for 25 years — not something a fixed-size product off a shelf comes with. Our guide on custom drapes vs ready-made curtains goes through the rest.

They're the same product under two names. "Plantation shutter" is the older term for a wide-louvre interior shutter; "California shutter" is what the style has been called in Canada for decades, usually meaning a painted white version with 2.5–4.5 inch louvres.

So if one company quotes you for plantation shutters and another for California shutters, you're comparing the same thing. What actually changes the price is the material — vinyl, PVC, or wood. See what we make.

They remain one of the most requested treatments in Toronto homes, because they read as built-in architecture rather than as a window covering — and they don't date the way a pattern or a fabric can. The current preference leans toward wider louvres and a clean painted finish rather than narrow slats and heavy frames. You can see recent installs in our gallery and featured projects.

Standard zebra blinds filter light rather than block it. A bedroom that needs real darkness usually wants a blackout zebra fabric, a blackout roller behind, or a lined blackout drape layered over the top.

For living rooms and offices — where you want to shift between view and privacy through the day — zebra is one of the most practical things we install. It's also the one style we can resize and reinstall if you move house, which Roman, honeycomb and vertical blinds can't be.

California shutters give a permanent, built-in look, fine control over light and privacy, and they stay with the home. Blinds and shades cost less, suit more window shapes, and offer far more fabric and opacity choices — from Roman to cellular to vertical.

We bring both to the consultation so you can compare them in your own light rather than under showroom lighting. Our guide covers everything to know before you pick your blinds.

Yes. Skylights, vaulted great rooms, bay and corner windows, arched and angled glass, and sliding patio doors are all openings ready-made sizes can't serve. We laser-measure each one and build custom curved or extended tracks where the shape needs it. For anything you can't reach comfortably, motorization is usually the practical answer.

Yes. We're an authorised Somfy dealer and a certified Control4 partner, so blinds, shades, and drapery can run on a schedule, from an app, from a remote, or from your existing smart-home hub — including Alexa and Google Home. Motorization can be added to most of our products. See motorized window treatments.

No. Most people use a wall remote or a phone app, and we set your schedules during installation so the blinds already do what you want on the first day. If you later want them recalibrated or re-timed, call us and we'll come back.

Somfy motors carry a 5-year warranty; A-OK, Neo and Dooya motors carry 3 years. See the full coverage.

Yes, and many people prefer to. Our Scarborough showroom is at 3781 Victoria Park Ave, Unit 11. Our Mississauga showroom is at 3190 Ridgeway Dr, Units 22 & 23. Both are open every day, 10am–6pm.

You can handle the fabrics and see the mechanisms working before anyone measures anything. Call (416) 346-7989 if you'd like someone set aside for you.

We measure and install across Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Oakville, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Brampton, Burlington, Milton, and Hamilton.

See all service areas, or call (416) 346-7989 if yours isn't listed — chances are we cover it.

Hardware and installation are covered for the lifetime of the product across everything we make — blinds, shades, curtains, drapes and shutters.

  • California shutters — 25 years on panels and louvres, lifetime on hardware and installation
  • Blinds, shades, curtains and drapes — lifetime on hardware and installation, 1 year on fabric
  • Somfy motors — 5 years
  • A-OK, Neo and Dooya motors — 3 years

Read the full warranty.

You don't need the original receipt. If we can find you in our system by the name, phone number, or address on the original installation, you're covered. If a problem comes from our installation, we come to your home and fix it at no charge. For hardware wear over time, you can drop the part at a showroom for a free repair or book an on-site visit.

The warranty stays with the original purchaser and doesn't transfer to a new owner. If you're moving, we can resize and reinstall zebra and roller blinds at your new home for a fee — though resizing isn't available for Roman, honeycomb or vertical styles. Full details here.

Shutters and blinds need dusting with a soft cloth or a vacuum brush attachment, and a damp cloth for marks. Zebra and roller fabrics prefer a dry brush over water.

Drapery benefits from occasional steaming rather than washing, which is why we offer re-steaming as part of aftercare. Avoid harsh cleaners on painted shutter louvres.

Ready to transform your windows?

We’d love to visit your home, understand your space, and help you find the window treatments that feel exactly right — whether that’s a set of sheer curtains that soften the afternoon light, California shutters that give your living room a finished look, or a motorized system that makes your whole home smarter.

There is no pressure and no commitment. Just a good conversation, beautiful options, and a team that genuinely cares about getting it right.
