Custom Blinds, Shutters & Curtains in Toronto
Factory-direct window treatments measured, made, and installed for Toronto homes and condos — from Old Toronto condos and the Distillery District to the tall sash windows of a Cabbagetown century home.
Window treatments for every kind of Toronto window
No city has more variety in its windows than Toronto. A glass condo in Old Toronto or CityPlace, a Victorian semi in Cabbagetown, a waterfront suite in the Distillery District, a midtown family home with a wide bay — each asks for something different, and almost none of them fit an off-the-shelf blind.
That variety is exactly what we're built for. Every blind, shutter, and drape we make is custom-measured and manufactured factory-direct, so a downtown floor-to-ceiling window and a heritage arched transom each get a treatment made precisely for them — at a fair, direct price.
Whether you're searching for custom blinds in downtown Toronto, blackout shades for a high-rise bedroom, California shutters for a character home, or motorized drapery for tall glass, our consultants bring the full studio to your door — samples, hardware, and unhurried advice, with no pressure and no obligation.

Old Toronto & Distillery District
The heart of the city — heritage lofts, converted industrial glass, and modern condos steps from the lake. We do it all, from blackout rollers to tailored drapery.
Downtown & CityPlace
Floor-to-ceiling condo glass where privacy and glare are the whole challenge. Motorized solar rollers by day, blackout in the bedroom by night.
King West & Liberty Village
Open lofts and converted warehouses with big industrial windows — clean roller and zebra blinds keep the lines crisp.
The Annex & Cabbagetown
Victorian and Edwardian homes with bay and tall sash windows. We favour shutters and tailored drapery that suit the architecture.

A perfect 5.0-star Google rating, earned one careful installation at a time.
Game-changer for my downtown Toronto condo! The motorized blackout roller shades in my bedroom are pure magic. Tracy from the design team understood my needs perfectly. The install crew arrived on time and handled everything. 10/10 would recommend!
Wanted privacy without blocking light for my apartment. The dual-layer roller shades are genius — blackout for nights, light-filtering for days. The crew installed 8 windows in 2 hours. Super polite and cleaned up after. 5 stars!
I came across Starlight at the Toronto Home Show and their service was excellent from start to end. Sales rep Mike was super friendly and professional. Their installation team's work was clean, quick and meticulous. Highly recommend — they also give excellent warranty.
Questions Toronto homeowners ask
For most Toronto homes — especially condos with oversized glass, century homes with irregular windows, and new builds — yes. Off-the-shelf blinds rarely fit precisely, and the gaps, light leaks and awkward hardware show. Custom treatments are made to the exact millimetre of your opening, use better mechanisms, and typically outlast big-box products by many years. Because we're factory-direct, the price difference is usually smaller than people expect.
Blinds have rigid slats (wood, faux wood, or aluminium) that tilt to control light. Shades are a single piece of fabric that raises or rolls — roller, zebra, Roman, and cellular are all shades. Drapes and curtains are fabric panels hung from a rod; drapes tend to use heavier, lined fabric, while curtains are lighter. Most rooms benefit from layering — a shade for everyday light control and a drapery panel for softness and warmth.
Start with the room's priorities: a bedroom needs light-blocking; a kitchen needs moisture resistance and easy cleaning; a living room often wants both privacy and a beautiful look. Window direction matters too — south- and west-facing glass benefits from UV-filtering solar shades, while a north-facing study can handle sheers. Our consultants ask these questions in-home and advise room by room, so you're never guessing.
We come to you. Our free in-home consultation is available across all of Toronto — Old Toronto, Downtown, Midtown, the East End, the West End, and beyond. We arrive with fabric swatches, hardware samples, and a laser measure. You see everything in your own light, against your own walls, at your own pace. There's no pressure and no obligation. We do also have a Scarborough showroom at 3781 Victoria Park Ave, Unit 11 if you'd like to visit in person.
We measure everything. Precise measurement is one of the most important parts of the process — even small errors cause gaps, misaligned fabric, or mechanisms that don't clear the frame. Our consultants use a laser measure on every window and take responsibility for the fit. If your windows are unusual shapes or sizes (and many Toronto windows are), that's exactly what we're experienced with.
Either works. Many clients do the whole home in one project — it's usually more efficient and ensures everything coordinates. Others start with the rooms they use most (the primary bedroom and living room) and add the rest over time. We're happy to quote the full home and help you decide what to prioritise first, with no pressure to do everything at once.
For most bedrooms we recommend blackout or room-darkening fabric, especially in Toronto where street light and early sunrise are real factors. A popular approach is a zebra or roller blackout shade for full darkness when needed, paired with a sheer drapery panel for softer light during the day. If you share a bedroom with someone on a different schedule, motorized blackout shades are a quiet, effortless solution.
Yes — we cover the whole city, including Old Toronto, the downtown core, the Distillery District, CityPlace and the waterfront, midtown, the east end (Leslieville, Riverdale, the Beaches), the west end (High Park, Roncesvalles, Bloor West), North York, Scarborough and East York. Our Scarborough showroom is right here in the city.
Yes. We carry a full range of cordless and motorized options that eliminate dangling cords entirely — the safest choice for homes with young children or pets. Cordless roller shades and motorized zebra blinds are our most popular child-safe picks. Faux-wood blinds are also a great pet-friendly option: durable, easy to wipe clean, and unaffected by humidity.
All our products come with a manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and mechanisms. Beyond that, we stand behind our work — if something isn't right after installation, we come back and fix it. Several of our reviews mention us returning to handle a cord repair or adjustment at no charge, years after the original install. That aftercare is something we take seriously.
For most blinds and shades, regular dusting with a microfibre cloth or duster is all you need. Faux-wood and roller shades can be wiped with a lightly damp cloth. Wood blinds should stay dry. Drapery and curtains vary by fabric — we always advise on care when we install, and many of our fabrics are dry-clean or even machine-washable. For deeper cleaning we can recommend professional blind-cleaning services in Toronto.
